This book contains Adult material; reluctance, BDSM, rape, guns and murder. Please do not read unless you are over the age of 18.
CJ Roberts is a goddamn genius!
Seduced in the Dark (SITD) is the second part of the Dark Duet, book one being Captured in the Dark (CITD), which I reviewed earlier.
SITD is told from both Caleb and Livvies PoV, we also see a new character, Agent Reed's PoV too.
The story is told in flashback form.
I honestly have no idea how review this book. I finished it 2 weeks ago and I still get goosebumps thinking about it. Just go ahead and read it and you'll see what I mean.
Take the plunge, look past the dark content and get lost in Calebs world, I dont think you'd regret it :)

The Reluctant Dom - Tymber Dalton
**This book is of a sexual nature, it includes BDSM; such as restraints, whipping, caning, flogging and some aspects of voyeurism. Over 18's only***
WOW....just WOW!!!
This book was totally not what I was expecting.
What was I expecting you might ask?
I was expecting exactly as the title says a Reluctant Dom, someone who, for whatever reason, was becoming or being a Dom reluctantly(no I don't usually read book descriptions if they've been recommended to me). A little sex and a lot of whips and chains.
What did I actually find?
Emotions! Lots of them, some I can't even describe. Dalton has successfully wrote a very powerful erotic novel. Did I cry? I did actually, I didn't think I would but I did, and I did it like a Baby, even my hubby stopped playing his computer game with external soundproof headphones on to ask me if I was Okay! So it's not all tears though, I went through the usual emotions and feelings whilst reading and erotic novel too, and I went through some unknowns. There were times I didn't want to feel what I was feeling....I shouldn't right? I believe that when an author can make you feel conflicting emotions and question your emotions like that they are complete and utter geniuses, so far I've only found 2 others books that do this....Captive in the Dark and Forbidden)
I don't want to give you a description of the book or go into detail about the storyline or characters as I feel it would take away from the story if you choose to read it. I may at a later date analyse the characters but for now, I HIGHLY recommend The Reluctant Dom by Tymber Dalton.

Collision Course - S.C Stephens
Grab a man-size box of tissues before starting this one!
Lucas had it all—popularity, a devoted girlfriend, a brotherly best friend, and a loving mother who would do anything for him. His life was right on course to be successful and fulfilling…until the crash changed everything.
Lucas returns to school 3 months after the accident, living in a small town everyone talks and stories are twisted to suit whoever is telling them, so Lucas is living with hatred, gossip and lies. None of the people at school will talk to him, instead they look away and mutter about him, except from Sawyer, she is new to the school and is kind to him, even after hearing the rumours.
Sawyer is Lucas' 'angel' yet it is obvious she has been through something herself, but it takes a while for us to find out what. Although Lucas develops feelings for Sawyer, he constantly feels guilty.
During the Story Lucas is living two lives, his real life where he feels everything is lost, except Sawyer and he is also living through his dreams.
I was crying during the prologue never mind the actual story! This is a very emotional read. I have heard of accidents like this with a lone survivor and I have thought at the time how must that person feel? This book deals with the aftermath and the guilt that Lucas feels. S.C Stephens is a wonderful author who stirs up your emotions. The characters are so realistic and lovable. There is not too much drama or situations that just drag on like in the average young adult romance novel. I do not truly believe this is a young adult romance. It does have the confusing romantic edge to it but really this book is about losing some one tragically and needing love and understanding about how someone deals with it.
I highly recommend this book and S.C Stephens other novels, Thoughtless and Reckless.
Providence - Jamie Maguire
Providence is a paranormal romance novel
- currently only available as an ebook -
it is the first book in
The Providence Trilogy.
I was very apprehensive of this book to start with, after the first few pages I put it down and went back to it a few days later...after Jared was introduced I was hooked!
The paranormal side of this book is about angels and demons and therefore heaven and hell too.
When we first meet Nina, her father is dying. After his funeral she meets Jared Ryel by chance...or so she thinks.
Nina see's Jared as a distraction, popping up in places around Providence, Rhode Island where she attends college. She soon learns this is not by chance, Jared knows more about Nina than anyone else. Jared risks everything to be with Nina, sharing the secret he was sworn to protect.
After Nina learns some truths about her family, namely her father, it soon becomes a battle between Hell and Earth.
As far fetched as this may sound to people who do not read paranormal stories, this story is amazing. I've seen it compared to Twilight, but the only real comparison is the love triangle. Every character is individual and convincing. There is humour and sarcastic wit throughout the book, as well as inner turmoil and of course romance.
I read the trilogy in just a few days,(will review the other 2 soon) and was pleasantly surprised. This is actually Jamie Maguire's first novel and it's a brilliant one at that. HIGHLY recommended to lovers of paranormal romance or as a good introduction to paranormals romances!
On The Island - Tracey Garvis Graves
This was an emotional one!
This is a love story with a twist. T.J Callahan is a 16year old boy in remission from cancer, his parents hire 30year old Anna Emerson to tutor T.J during a summer break in the Maldives.
Tragedy strikes on their flight to join T.J's family when the pilot suffers from a fatal heart attack.
T.J and Anna are left to find a way to survive in the hope of eventually being found after managing to get to a uninhabited island. They battle against hunger, the thirst, illness and the elements but eventually Anna realises her biggest battle is living with a boy who is turning into a man before her eyes....
I was a train wreck reading this book, literally I had tears streaming for about 75% of this book! The author has done an amazing job of making the characters realistic. Despite the age gap of the characters there is nothing inappropriate in the book. The romance develops slowly, which I really liked about this book and it isn't totally obvious. The author goes in to extraordinary depth, the descriptions of the island is beautiful and you really can picture it in your mind. When the characters are eventually brought back to the 'real world' you really do feel their plight in defending and defining their relationship to others.
This is a book I will treasure, I will read again and again and probably cry just as much! A beautiful love story with an amazing twist.
On the Island is available in both ebook format and as a paperback from Amazon.co.uk

Captive in the Dark - CJ Roberts
Well this is a hard one!
Captive in the Dark (CITD) is a dark erotic suspense novel to push your boundaries, take you beyond your comfort zone and BOY DID IT EVER!!
Think 50 shades on steroids!!!
Caleb is has a DARK past; kidnapped as a boy and turned into a killer. For 12 years he has been immersed in the world of pleasure slaves, both dominating and training. Due to his dark past he is all about vengeance. This is where 18year old Olivia comes in.....
Olivia awakes blindfolded and bound in a strange place. The only person she comes in contact with demands she calls him Master. Olivia is terrified of the sadistic man who holds her captive but what keeps Olivia awake in the dark is the unwelcome attraction to him.
Whilst reading I had totally indescribable feelings towards the whole book. It's a pretty disturbing one if I'm honest but I stuck with it and I would urge you to do the same, for a shocking, emotional, eye opening read. Even now, around 3 weeks after reading, I am still stuck for words on how to describe my feelings whilst reading, it was confusing as I shouldn't of enjoyed the book but I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!!!
CITD will haunt you and leave you longing for more...
Luckily CJ Roberts is releasing part 2 on September 1st: Seduced in the Dark.
From feedback on CJ's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/AuthorCJRoberts) I have finally realised who I was picturing Caleb as whilst reading....

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie Maguire
Travis Maddox is the ULTIMATE bad boy. Tattoos, drink, sex even being involved in illegal fight club known as 'The Circle'.
Abby Abernathy is a good girl. Travis is just what Abby wants and needs...to avoid.
Abby knows she needs to resist Travis and his advances on her and this intrigues Travis, he's never had a girl resist his charms before, not that usually needs to charm girls. Travis and Abby make a bet; if Abby wins, travis isn't allowed to have sex for a month....if Travis wins Abby must live with Travis for a month.
Beautiful Disaster will draw you in. I felt every emotion in the book, my heart broke in places whilst reading, I cried (you will hear this a LOT in my reviews) I laughed and felt the chemistry from the moment Travis and Abby met. I've read this book twice already and was just excited the second time around, which is unusual for me!
Jamie Maguire is a beautiful talented author who self published BD and The Providence Trilogy.
BD was originally only available in ebook format but has since been published by Simon and Schuster UK on August 14th, so you can now by Paperback versions (woohoo!)

My Fantasy Travis Maddox!
